Hastings Highlands Draft Bylaw 2022-005 (Vegetative Buffer)

The Municipality of Hastings Highlands has taken significant efforts to educate themselves and the public regarding best practices for healthy shorelines and lakes in advance of preparing an amended draft bylaw to address the need for a 30M vegetative buffer along waterfronts. A committee was established and delegations were made to all of council from: Watersheds Canada – Barb King, FOCA – Terry Rees, and Bancroft Area Stewardship Council – Ian Hendry.
