The removal of trees on crown land without MNRf approval is prohibited. KAPOA has been notified in March 2021 that a large number of trees have been marked with an “X” in orange paint at Tom’s Lookout in the Thomas P. Murray trail system.
The next reading of the draft Shoreline Preservation bylaw will be at the May 19, 2021 Council Meeting. This will allow for all the public comments received up to April 30, 2021 to be included as part of the report. According to Mayor Bodnar there will be NO public meetings held regarding this issue because of COVID.
Ontario’s earlier consultations and ongoing negotiations with the AOO have resulted in some changes to the package of Crown lands proposed for future transfer to the AOO.

COVID 19 has changed our lives and as a result the 2020 Annual Poker Run will be held on Saturday July 25, but with some major changes.
Due to government restrictions in place,KAPOA’s Annual General Meeting is cancelled. The annual Regatta scheduled for August 1st is also cancelled.

The morning of Saturday, July 27th greeted us with warm weather and very blustery winds. We had to tie down our tent and hold down our paperwork but with great team work we were able to get everyone registered
