Ottawa-Valley

In the Ottawa-Valley Forest Management Unit there is a small harvest area and some road building taking place planned for 2013-2014 within the area monitored by KAPOA from the Bark Lake Dam to Palmer Rapids.

The Annual Work Schedule shows road-building work that was scheduled for 2012-2013 to construct an access road from Hwy 62 towards Gun Lake. This road will impact the Thomas P Murray recreational trails in that area. Expect to see some harvesting north of Gun Lake before the end of 2016.

Some harvesting will take place this year between McMaster Lake and Wolf Lake west of Kamaniskeg. Some additional harvesting will occur off Lehovitch Rd. east of Opeongo Rd.
