Some time in the near future the Hastings Highlands Municipal Council plans to enact a bylaw that could have a serious impact on your enjoyment of your property in the municipality.
KAPOA and other Lake Associations in the municipality have been working hard to have influence over the bylaw. With effort, the associations have had an impact on both the wording of the bylaw and the process involving rate payer input.
At the moment the bylaw is being reworded by HH staff and when it becomes available we will forward it to you. The Municipality has reserved time at the Municipal Offices in Maynooth for an information/input session on Saturday, April 25 at 9:00 am.
We encourage you to read the proposed bylaw when it becomes available and to try to attend the April 25 meeting.
Your attendance at the meeting is important because your input is critical and because a strong turnout will show Council that the rate payers’ associations are a force to be contended with both now and over future issues.
