KAPOA Summer Bulletin July 2016

1. The presence of LYME DISEASE has been identified in Renfrew County. It strongly recommended that KAPOA members familiarize themselves with the identification and recommended procedures regarding treatment and reporting by checking at the following: www.ontario.ca/page/lyme-disease.

2. The membership is reminded that this Saturday, July 23rd, is the date of the ANNUAL POKER RUN in support of The St. Francis Hospital Foundation, for the continued support of funding the mammography machine. Registration is between 9 & 10 AM at the Barrys Bay dock on the 23rd. The registration fee is $200 per boat. The activity is followed up at 1 PM on Hinterland Beach with a BBQ and the awarding of prizes – all are warmly welcome!

The regatta tradition has been running for nearly 50 years, with no indications of losing popularity as indicated by the new and returning participants. We have events for all ages, and everyone comes away with a reminder of their participation to pin on the cottage wall. Rain or shine, don’t miss out!
