Saturday July 30, 11am to 4pm
We had lots of volunteer help again this year, many thanks to Kerra’s family (12 helpers with raft, bbq & drink sales, tabulation, sand castle judging, finish line!), our directors Lynne & Peggy (ticket sales, membership), Dave Wilson (raft), Sean Capstick & Tchad Joiner (swim & canoe races, tug-of-war), Deanne Farrar (finish line), Bruce Willmer (bbq), Kathy Willmer (50/50 ticket sales), Bill Cahoon (sailing race) and a few folks who jumped in right at the beach when there was a need.
Generous sponsors were Cathy Pitts Remax Realty (cash), Yuill’s Value Mart & Pyz family (hot dog donations) and Sand Bay Camp (9 bags of ice for drink coolers).
We had lower attendance than in prior years as evidenced by the lower food and drink sales, very likely due to covid concerns, but still a great turnout all considered. We sold back unused hotdog buns and dogs to the Pyz family (they insisted!!)

The day’s events were wrapped up on time (4pm) and the beach cleaned up and tent, tables, bbq and chairs packed by 4:45pm.
Many thanks to everyone who made the event a success! It was great to get back to live and in-person activity with our many friends at the lake. Can’t wait for next year!
