- St Francis Memorial opened in 1960
- Provides emergency services to 10,000+ people (residents, cottagers and visitors) annually
- Services the area centered around Barry’s Bay stretching from Round Lake to Maynooth and Killaloe to Madawaska
- Equipment purchases are not funded by the Provincial Government, this is a local responsibility
- The Poker Run raises funds to help offset the costs to purchase this equipment
- KAPOA volunteers organize this event annually supported by St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation & the Valley Gazette
