Key Changes for Pleasure Craft Licensing have come into effect as of Dec 31, 2025 –
- 5-Year Validity: Licenses are no longer lifetime; they must be renewed every 5 years.
- $24 Fee: A fee now applies to all new, transferred, or renewed licences.
- 30-Day Update Rule: You must update your address or name change within 30 days.
- Wind-Powered Vessels: Starting December 31, 2027, wind-powered vessels over 6 meters will require a PCL.
