MNR has issued flood warnings for the Ottawa River and Madawaska River areas as a result of run-off as a result of the warm weather and the additional rain.
The water in Kamaniskeg lake has risen rapidly and the ice on the southern part of the lake is gone. Very little of the excess water comes from Bark Lake which is just sending a trickle over the dam while the lake is being filled up. Most of the extra water appears to come from the York River and from the run-off.
